"When CCA ends, our community continues" — a two-part proposal for
keeping a century-old creative community alive after its physcial home closes.

Winner of the CCA Impact Award for Outstanding Startup

Ripple is a community-design project responding to CCA's upcoming closure and the broader decline of arts institutions across the country. CCA has been a cornerstone of the Bay Area's creative community for over a century, but even before the closure was announced, department silos and bureaucratic barriers had already been fraying connections between students, faculty, and alumni.

Together with my teammates, Lydia Chau and Johannah Huarachi, I set out to build the infrastructure for that community to outlast the institution itself — through Third Space, an in-person club bringing disciplines together to make and learn side by side, and CCAConnect, a digital home for alumni and faculty to stay connected, share work, and preserve the school's history through a living archive.
